Travel, Retail, Food Service

Retail:  DJI developed and refined a custom shop-a-long methodology with a major consumer goods manufacturer to assist in assessing new merchandising approaches in major US retailers across mass, drug and grocery channels. This methodology and the qualitative research findings are now key to the firm’s on-going major account management program.

Travel:  Types of projects have included corporate image/positioning (including airline logo/livery re-design), advertising & promotion testing, in-flight service/amenity evaluation (research completed on commercial aircraft in the hangar), travel agent satisfaction, website usability, service bundling and new service concept development

Food Service and Hospitality:

    • DJI operated as an external marketing department for a multi-location regional family restaurant chain, handling all marketing, communications and research functions for the company during the most aggressive expansion period of its history
    • Our client, an international operator of fast food restaurants, has an ongoing commitment to new product introductions.  Over a long term relationship, we  tested several new menu options that led to successful product launches.  Research was done in test kitchens where respondents tasted and evaluated several product iterations
    • DJI has worked with hotel operators and beverage manufacturers on licensee sales promotions and merchandising strategy
